Please complete a case application assignments, applying MRI and Haley’s strategic family therapy to my family. First I will give you a quick overview of the family you are dealing with.
There is a girl Kenna who is 28 years old and German/Filipino basically Caucasian and was born in CA. She has been married to Narek for 2 years. However they have been together for 7 years. Narek is 8 years older than Kenna, and he has a different culture views as well since he is Armenian and was born in Armenia and came here when he was 5. They` have a 3 almost four year old son who lives in the home with them. As well as Kennas two older brothers. The oldest brother Pj who is 32 years old moved in with them 9 months ago while the slightly younger brother moved in with them 1 month ago. Before the 2nd brother moved in the older brother and Narek would sorta team up with each other when it came to disagreements between Makenna and Narek. This is partly because Narek hired Pj and so not only is Narek his brother in law but also his boss. Narek own multiple rehabs and he is always on his phone even at home. He comes home between 5 and 10 every night. It wasn’t till recently he started coming home early and trying to have more family time and more date and romantic time with Kenna. The younger brother Ethan came to live with them to get him back on his feet. In fact Kenna has always routed for and wanted the best for her family. This is why she convinced Pj to come from Utah and get him a job and set up in CA so he can save up and get a place for himself. Kenna is in school and owns a customize and design business that is structured mainly e-commerce. She has always done everything for her and Nareks toddler. This includes taking him to his haircut appointments since the very first one – which Narek did not include himself in, doctor and dentist appointments, soccer practice, gymnastics, and any other thing in those categories that were for Ara there toddler. She has always cooked, cleaned and did everything for the family while doing school and her business. Up until recently she moved her business out of home and into an office as it is growing now. So when Ethan came Kenna gave this brother a job so she is now his boss. When her and Narek get into disagreements, Ethan seems to be on her side. She finally isn’t gained up by 2.5 boys now. But instead is in a home full of boys but has someone on her side. She doesn’t like getting the boys involved in there disagreements, and actually Narek can tell Ethan is different then Pj and he not only takes Nareks side but also doesn’t like getting in the middle at all. Which has somewhat helped Narek realize not to get the boys involved. Narek and Makenna usually have arguments about not getting to spend time with each other, he has recently accused her of cheating even though she is working or studying or with her son every minute of every day. Also most recently he has accused her of not being involved with the family and their son. Before he was never involved because he gambles all the time. Narek loves to go on trips and gamble. While Kenna is loving being home and working hard to get her business up to the point where she can feel relaxed. She also wants to grow to not have to rely on Narek for money. Especially since Kenna found out Narek wasn’t faithful and she found out one month after their wedding. She doesn’t want to take any chances on her and her sons stability. Nareks parents watch Ara every Saturday and Narek goes to gamble every Saturday and a lot of the time stays over there in Palm Springs over night. Now for this assignment use what you know about this family and also. make up anything you need to help with this case that may fit with the families story line. Then use Haley’s strategic family therapy and write a case application as if you were a therapist and this family was your clients. Answer these questions applying “Haley’s” including What am I as a therapist saying? What will it look like? What are the goals? The intervention and how it is structured?
