Please watch the movie“Moonlight (2016)” directed by Barry Jenkins. (Please watch the movie and don’t use online materials).The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with the opportunity to apply Family Life Cycle Theory. As a part of this demonstration, you will be required to translate theory to clinical practice. This assignment is comprised of two parts.
Part 1:
Summary
Provide a brief summary of the movie. (Please make sure it is brief)
Identify the family life stages depicted in the movie
Identify the horizontal and vertical stressors/problems depicted in the film. ( please see the attached document, it will explain the horizontal and vertical stressors) The stages of the family life cycle are:
Childhood.
Independence.
Coupling.
Parenting.
Launching adult children.
Retirement or senior years.
Assessment
Describe what is constraining the family life cycle stages for each of the main characters in the film. Make sure that your assessment integrates your understanding of the family life cycle and the vertical and horizontal stressors that you described.
Select one main character from the film. How would you diagnose this character? Be sure that your diagnosis includes the specific DSM criteria from one of the following:
Anxiety related disorders. (pg 115 in the DSM 5 book which I uploaded it. Please choose only one disorder from this category of anxiety disorders. Please explain in the paper why you chose it by talking about why this diagnosis is the best option  and its criteria and include the symptoms explained in the dsm 5 ) Depressive disorders (pg 93 in the DSM 5 book which I uploaded it. Please choose only one disorder from this category of depressive disorders. Please explain in the paper why you chose it by talking about why this diagnosis is the best option and its criteria and include the symptoms explained in the dsm 5 ) or you can do BOTH Anxiety and Depressive disorders (comorbidity)
Part 2 :
Develop a detailed treatment plan for the main character you selected. Your treatment plan should describe at least three interventions that you might try with your selected client if they came to therapy. You may embellish as needed.
