Review recent news articles to find at least two examples of discrimination experienced by two different special populations (e.g., LGBTQ+, clients with physical disabilities) that have occurred in our nation over the past 5 years (so as far back as 2018). Research what happened after the initial incident of discrimination. (I have a few articles I will attach at the bottom of these instructions that can be used, or the writer can locate their own if they’d like)

1) Describe what took place in the discrimination issue.

2) Describe whether there was a long-term outcome?

3) How might these two groups experience prejudice in the behavioral health setting and what can be done to avoid such discrimination, (e.g., A client who utilized American Sign Language [ASL] may not be able to find an ASL therapist in their community. A therapist may seek out training in ASL or they may find an interpreter to aid in the therapy session).

4) Include a total of 4 scholarly peer-reviewed resources (with links to locate the specific articles and resources listed with the citations in the reference list). So In addition to the 2 news articles, a minimum of 2 scholarly resources.
