Here are some ideas to get you started:
Consider 3-4 of the most common groups for children and adolescents. For example, scholarly literature indicates that social skills group for young children is a common need and can be impactful. Ask your peers to determine which of these 3-4 types of groups they believe would be the greatest need for this population.
Describe two ethical considerations that the group leader should consider that are unique to working with children and adolescents in the group setting. You may share the link to an article that captures these considerations.
Share a link to a video that demonstrates a group counseling exercised with children or adolescents. Describe why you selected this video and what group leadership skills were helpful in serving this population.
Share which of the readings this week offered information you can immediately use, and detail how you will use this information either personally or professionally.
