A manuscript should include an appropriate abstract that adheres to the selected journal’s author guidelines regarding the format, font, citations, and length of article (Moran, Burson, & Conrad, 2024). Other components of the manuscript that should be included based on the author guidelines are the following sections:
Title page and abstract,
Description of the problem,
Background and significance (define the magnitude of the problem),
Aims or intended outcomes,
Framework (e.g. including an EBP framework, organizational theory, nursing theory),
Literature review,
Project Design or Methods (including methods for recruitment, design, interventions, and outcome measures),
Steps in data analysis,
Findings,
Conclusions,
Limitations, and
Implications for practice.
