Part A. You are caring for a minority patient who has a chronic illness. For each area of cultural assessment, list at least one question you could ask as part of a cultural assessment to better prepare for this patient’s care. What barriers might you encounter as a provider for this patient?

Family relationships and relational orientation
Reflect on your care of patients of different cultures. What were your struggles in providing culturally competent care? What barriers to providing culturally competent care did you encounter? How did you manage your differences?
