The aim of this assignment is to consolidate your understanding of the theoretical aspects of conducting research, your literature searching skills, and your knowledge of different types of research.
To do this you are required to identify and then reflect on a published paper of qualitative or quantitative research that has explored a global health topic of your choice.
In your piece you must include the following:
A brief reflection on the theoretical approach taken by the selected paper – please refer to the learning materials for Week 1;
A short account of the search you undertook to select the paper, and why you chose it (why it interests you etc.);
A reflection on the methods used by the selected paper, and their suitability for the investigation of the topic.
