Post: Discuss the metaphoric symbolism of the following items associated with some weddings:
the color of the clothing of the bride and groom; the use and placement of candles including the “unity candle”; the procession of the bride down the aisle and the “giving away” of the bride by the father; the vows including calling them man & wife or husband & wife or something else. This is pure opinion and does not require any references. Play with the idea of symbolic items in this common ceremony. You might add new or contemporary symbols being used in weddings and the reason(s). Your initial post should be a minimum of 300 words.
