The Recent pandemic has shown that there is a discrepancy in nurse staffing levels. It is critical that appropriate staffing must be maintained at all times, as it optimizes the overall quality of patient care, improvement in patient outcomes and satisfaction, and long-term cost containment.
Draft Counter Argument
Management is not necessarily against proper nurse staffing, however; there are copious obstacles to achieve it. The problem lies between managing the cost and budget of the hospital and providing adequate patient care. In addition, the nursing shortage makes it difficult to hire enough nurses that are qualified for the position.
