SWOT Analysis
The SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis is a very popular business tool; many organizations utilize SWOT analyses prior to making important business decisions. This assignment will allow students to practice analyzing the future of healthcare through SWOT analysis. For the assignment, there is not an actual classic-style paper required. The two SWOT analyses are what should be submitted. See the details below. First read, chapter 3 in the course’s required textbook regarding planning

Based on the case study assigned, complete a SWOT regarding the new ventures.
Use the template below. The SWOTs should focus on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the selected objective improvement. *Note threats are external (which is completely different from a weakness). There should be at least 3 statements/identifiers in each quadrant of the SWOT but there can be more.
Here is a helpful link related to the topic of creating a SWOT analysis. I recommend reviewing it prior to getting started on this assignment.

Historically, students have struggled with (and lose points) identifying the difference between a weakness and a threat. Think of weakness as something you can’t (or struggle at) do. For example, I can’t glide from the free throw line and dunk a basketball. A threat is usually external; for example, other players may steal the ball if I’m dribbling. Also, be specific. For example, avoid listing items that could be for the masses (i.e. there is the threat of a hurricane for south Floridians). Instead, confirm research has been done (i.e. Given John does not have shutters for his windows, there is the threat of others beating him to the store to obtain wood to cover his windows).
Rubric the submission is not recycled from another course or source. Borrowed information is correctly cited and referenced.
