ONLY THE INTRODUCTION FOR MY PAPER
You will complete a qualitative research report, based on one of the TED Talks (with transcriipt) provided. Using thematic analysis, you will outline one social psychology theme and one developmental psychology theme from your chosen talk.You will analyse the data using Thematic Analysis with an appropriate epistemology.
-The introduction should focus on the relevant theories, empirical research, and critical evaluation of theory and research. You should ensure that the theory and research are used to justify the current report. You need to clearly state the aims of the report in light of the theories and research (and at this point make reference to the use of TA), and clear research question(s).
– word count will be up to 1250 words
-all references included in APA

– In the introduction, you need to show extensive reading and a critical understanding of social psychology and developmental psychology
– (consider where theories might be limited and compare to other relevant theories )
. Overviews of social or developmental psychology and debates are NOT to be included.
-Cover social psychology part and the developmental part separately,
-it is not only theory based , it’s about creating your own rational for your study (why research is conducted)
However, it is crucial that you show a critical understanding of both social psychology and developmental psychology . You can use the topic area, theory, and research to support a clear project aim that states what the report will aim to achieve. You also need to refer to the use of Thematic Analysis and the epistemology here (but save the discussions of these for the method section).
End the introduction by clearly stating your research question (you will devise this in the early weeks activities)
